Gareth is an archaeologist with a specialism in digital recording, visualisation and media production. His research interests include digital approaches to community archaeology, 3D and 2D computer graphics and the development of digital recording methods.

Within the DC Labs he co-directs several projects including the DiNAR project in which we work with industry partners to explore the application of Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies within a Heritage context and the Community Heritage project in which we investigate the role of interactive media as tools for grass-roots historical and archaeological research.

Alongside his role in DC Labs he manages the Centre for Digital Heritage, a interdisciplinary research centre investigating the use of digital approaches across the Heritage Sector.
