As manager of DC Labs Emma is responsible for the overall coordination of people, partners and projects, working to bring them all together so that things run smoothly and efficiently. She loves working with a wide range of people with different perspectives, developing situations to bring them together to create new and innovative ideas.
With a background in maths and software engineering in industry, Emma's role has always involved the creation of impact from research. In her previous role as business development manager she helped secure funding for both DC Labs and the Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Games Intelligence (IGGI) as well leading on a wide range of spin-out projects.
Emma draws on her training as a leadership and business coach, working with partners and researchers to facilitate communications and to help them understand the value in their ideas.
