An inspirational 7 years

On 30 September 2022, the EPSRC-funded project, Digital Creativity (DC) Labs, will draw to a close in its current form.

Over the last 7 years DC Labs has pioneered new research angles and collaborated with partners to tackle real-world challenges across technology driven creative practice. We've laid the foundations of the ecosystem of research and innovation in digital creativity, industry and culture which is now thriving at the University of York.

DC Labs will now transition into the newly launched School of Arts and Creative Technologies. This website and DC Labs social media accounts will remain live, but dormant, until the transition is completed so please follow our colleagues in Theatre, Film, TV and Interactive Media (TFTI) and Music for updates on research in digital creativities.

We're temporarily signing off with a quotation from Leonardo Da Vinci that we feel sums up the essence of DC Labs:

"Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Develop your senses - especially learn how to see. Realise that everything connects to everything else."

Thank you and best wishes from Marian, Isabel, and the team at DC Labs.
