Moni is a data analyst who is especially interested in simple and efficient algorithms that can be used to solve complex optimisation problems usually tackled with deep learning today.
Moni particularly enjoys learning about mathematical and stochastic models for optimisation in all their forms, as well as reading up on the latest advances in natural language processing and deep learning.
Moni was educated at the University of Groningen where she obtained her BSc in Econometrics, and completed her masters in Operations Research. Both her thesis topics involved the application of Markov decision processes to maintenance planning optimisation and preventive maintenance scheduling. Prior to coming to DC Labs and Weavr, Moni was involved as a research assistant in work surrounding sports economics using data on football match attendance and broadcasting.
